Tyrus (2015) Documentary directed by Pamela Tom. Here is the unlikely story of 104-year old Chinese American artist Tyrus Wong, and how he overcame poverty and racism to become a celebrated modernist painter, Hollywood sketch artist, and Disney legend for his groundbreaking work on the classic animated film, Bambi. 73 min.

Complements the Flinn Gallery art show Time and Place: Works on Paper. In partnership with the Friends Friday Films, the Flinn Gallery will offer special extended hours before the film. Grab an early dinner on the Avenue, then stop by the Gallery between 6-7:15 PM to tour the current show.  

Admission to Friends Friday Films is open to all at no charge. This series is made possible by contributions to the Friends of Greenwich Library. Showtime is now 7:30 pm. Doors open at 7:10 pm.
