7:00 PM - 8:30 PM
Greenwich Library
Meeting Room

Event Details

Novelist and Greenwich Academy alum Courtney Maum will be here to read from and discuss her new novel Costalegre. The book is heavily inspired by the real-life relationship between the heiress Peggy Guggenheim and her daughter, Pegeen. It's a wildly imaginative and curiously touching story of a privileged teenager who has everything a girl could wish for except for a mother who loves her back. Read the New York Times book review here.

Courtney Maum is the author of Touch (a New York Times Editor's Choice and NPR's Best of 2017), as well as the acclaimed I Am Having So Much Fun Here Without You. Her book reviews, essays, and articles about the writing life have been widely published in outlets such as The New York Times, O the Oprah Magazine, BuzzFeed, Interview Magazine, and Electric Literature.

This event is open to all at no charge. Registration, using the Library’s online calendar, highly recommended. Doors of the Library Meeting Room will open at 6:30 pm. Books will be available for purchase and signing at the event through Diane’s Books.
