Eat Smart for Your Heart
February is Heart Health Month. What can you do to decrease your risk of heart disease? What do omega's, cholesterol, antioxidants, and triglycerides have to do with it? Show your heart some love by learning about the right type of foods to eat and how to prepare them and plan them into tasty meals that you and your Valentine can enjoy together well beyond the day of love! Jamie Lee McIntyre is a Registered Dietitian, Certified Dietitian-Nutritionist, experienced in health care, nutrition counseling and community health programs. She has managed clients with conditions such as heart disease, diabetes, food allergies, and those interested in weight loss, throughout all stages of the life cycle. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics with a Minor in Psychology from the University of Rhode Island, and has completed post graduate work at the University of Saint Joseph Graduate School. Event is cosponsored by Greenwich Library. Register is not required. The lecture is free.
